The building in which you sit became home to Bert & Ernie’s in April of 1977. After an extensive renovation the restaurant and tavern opened on 8.24.1977. When the first renovation was tattered and worn, a second remodel was completed in 2005.

The name says it all. Greatest State in the greatest country on earth. Ear muffs vegetarians: greatest animal to eat. Put the two together and what do you get? Handmade, locally grown, can drive to see where they were raised, amazing, amazing, amazing burgers! USA USA USA!

You know that feeling you get right after you step off an airplane? I believe the term is called “jet leg.” Now you know how our seafood feels. It’s that fresh!

“catch of the day!”

Built in the early 1900'S, the building is notable for its occupants, Young’s Cafe, and the well known Golden Gate Grocery. Bert & Ernie's obtained the site from the Thomas Corontzos family who had operated the store until the late 1960's.
