Bert & Ernie’s - Music, Food & Brew Pub

The building in which you sit became home to BERT & ERNIE'S in April of 1977. After an extensive renovation, the restaurant and tavern opened on August 24, 1977. When the first renovation was tattered and worn, a second remodel was completed in 2005.

Built in the early 1900'S, the building is notable for its occupants, YOUNG'S CAFE, and the well known GOLDEN GATE GROCERY. Bert & Ernie's obtained the site from the Thomas Corontzos family who had operated the store until the late 1960's. The rear portion of the building, which had to be razed, had been the location of SLACKS CYCLE.

While gutting the entire building, the restaurant did retain a significant amount of the original "ambiance" found here. Many features such as the original tin ceiling, the old walk-in cooler, and the painted brick exterior have added to the "rustic and classic" atmosphere that has come to define Bert & Ernie's.

The owners of Bert & Ernie's are very proud of their restaurant. We enjoy offering our customers the best in simple, classic American Food. We feel that service to the customer is as important as the quality of the food, and we are proud that our reputation in the state is one of good food, beverage and atmosphere that defines "Montana Hospitality"
